The City of Komaki is hoping active exchanges with certain cities in New Zealand in a variety of areas such as culture, education and the arts, will strive to further friendships and deepen their mutual understanding.
We firstly would like to give our students some chances to visit abroad, we have 9 junior highs and 16 elementary schools in our city so the delegation will be mixed by those schools. After the exchanges activities by students, we can plan exchange programs for adults, such as anniversary visiting programs or hosting guests here.
We wish to establish a friendly relationship with a suitable city in New Zealand and afterwards we can plan introduce special products or historic spot, for example.
We would appreciate it if you let us know any cities interested in our city.
Komaki City was established in 1955. Since then, it has been developed into a leading industrial inland city by taking advantage of its outstanding geographic features as a traffic junction for access to Chubu Area via Chubu Centrair International Airport (Nagoya) and the Tomei, Meishin, and Chuo Expressways.
Komaki City is home to companies with the most advanced technologies we are proud of, such as MRJ and companies related to the H-II A Rocket. Komaki City is blessed with wonderful culture and nature including Mt. Komaki and many other historical assets.
